Anna Battista is a survivor.  Born with cystic fibrosis (CF), a life threatening chronic illness, she has had to fight to live and breath each day.

At 22 she underwent a life saving lung transplant.  Although this fixed the initial breathing issues from CF, it caused a host for other issues instead.  This included lymphoma, diabetes and eventually the need for a second transplant.

Despite all of the struggle, Anna strives to live her life to the fullest and seize every opportunity that comes her way.  She is a fun loving, joyful lady who aims to help others stop being chickens and go after life!

This is such an important story to hear because we may not have put BREATHING on our list of things that we should be grateful of and not take for granted!

Anna comes on to the podcast to discuss her life with CF, teaching me what the illness does and what it is like to live with, telling the stories of her 2 lung transplants and how a life with CF has affected how she lives her life every day.

Not only has Anna already made it to the age of 30, which she was not supposed to, but she is feeling great and looking forward to the future! Now, I recorded this episode a little while ago and Anna keeps living her best life!

If you would like to continue to follow Anna’s story you can follow her on instagram or on her website, all links below of course. If you would like to learn more about CF or get more involved I would encourage you to visit donatelifecolorado.org and cff.org.
